What is a cookie.
A "cookie" is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember something between page loads — usually a session identifier, a preference, or a tracking identifier. The same rules in this policy apply to similar technologies that can store or read information from your device, including local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, web beacons, pixels, software development kits (SDKs), and device fingerprinting.
For brevity, we use "cookies" throughout this policy to mean all of the above.
Cookie categories.
Cookies are typically grouped into four categories. Here are all four, and what each one does:
- Strictly necessary (essential) cookies are required for the site to function — for example, to keep you logged in or to remember items in a checkout cart. These do not require consent under EU/UK law.
- Functional cookies remember preferences you have explicitly set, such as language, theme, or display options. These usually require consent.
- Analytics cookies count visitors and measure how the site is used in aggregate. These require consent in the EU/UK if they identify a specific person or device.
- Marketing / advertising cookies track you across websites to build a profile of your interests for targeted advertising. These always require consent in the EU/UK and trigger CCPA "sharing" obligations in California.
We use one strictly necessary cookie. We use zero functional, analytics, or marketing cookies.
Cookies we set.
| Name | Category | Provider | Lifetime | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sp_session | ESSENTIAL | savagepixelseo.com (first-party) | Session (deleted on browser close) | Holds the session identifier when a client logs into a private project preview. Not set for ordinary site visitors. |
That is the entire list for an unauthenticated visitor — zero cookies. You can verify in your browser's developer tools (Application → Storage → Cookies).
Third-party services that may receive data.
The site uses a small set of third-party services to operate. None of them set cookies on visitors of this site, but each receives some technical data when your browser makes a request, and they are listed here for transparency:
If you would prefer Google not see your IP address when loading our fonts, you can block requests to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com in your browser; the site will fall back to your system fonts.
Legal basis & consent.
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)) and equivalent UK PECR rules, websites must obtain prior consent before placing cookies on a visitor's device, except for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service the visitor explicitly requested.
Our one essential cookie is covered by the strictly-necessary exemption when it is set (only after a client logs into a private preview). It is not set for ordinary site visitors, so no consent is required at any point during a typical visit.
Under the CCPA, the absence of analytics, marketing, and cross-context advertising cookies means there is nothing to opt out of for "sale" or "sharing". The opt-out right remains available in principle and is honored automatically.
How to manage or block cookies.
You can block or delete cookies from this site at any time using your browser's built-in settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari (macOS): Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Safari (iOS): Settings app → Safari → Clear History and Website Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
- Brave / other Chromium browsers: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies.

Blocking our one essential cookie has no effect on a normal visit. It will prevent client logins to private project previews, if that ever applies to you.
Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control.
Most modern browsers offer a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") setting or the more recent Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signal that tells websites you do not want to be tracked.
We do not track you in the first place, so DNT and GPC signals do not change anything on our end. They are honored by default, because there is nothing to honor.
If we ever introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies, we will check for these signals and treat them as a binding opt-out before showing any consent prompt.
Changes to this policy.
If we add a cookie, change a provider, or otherwise materially modify what runs on this site, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date will change. For any change that would require consent under applicable law, we will introduce a banner and ask you before activating the new cookie.
